Picnic Areas and Picnic Sites

Please tell us about the nicest places to picnic, be this your local park, a narrow urban balcony overlooking the main road in the building you live, or somewhere different.  Let us know of picnics on beaches, deserts, mountains, at sea - day or night, winter or summer, in the UK or abroad. Tell us also about where your parents and grandparents picnicked, so we can share our histories.
