A Victorian garden of great interest featuring fine trees, garden ornaments, a rose garden, Dutch garden, pavilions and a hedge maze. The garden has recently undergone an extensive restoration programme and it was featured on the BBC programme ‘More Hidden Gardens’.

High Woods country park is 330 acres (134 hectares) of attractive landscape including woodland, grassland, farmland and wetland. Numerous footpaths provide an opportunity to see a wide range of wildlife. Facilities include angling and a horse riding trail. The visitor centre houses displays on the natural history and history of the area together with a small shop and toilet facilities.
