This award winning Grade I Italianate garden, famous for its tranquillity and beauty, was the home of Edwardian architect and landscape designer Harold Peto from c1899-1933. Unique and romantic, he created the garden using his collection of architectural fragments on this steep-sided wooded valley set beside the river Frome. Characterised by pools and terraces, statues, sculptures, evergreen planting and magnificent rural views, there is a fine cloister and casita set among many plants of botanical interest. Winner of the Historic Houses Association/Christie’s Garden Award.
